Mini Gardens

Sheerness After School Club is currently tending and growing their own mini garden.

Each child has his/her own garden which they can seed, tend, water and watch grow. All the children have chosen a theme for their garden and have planted suitableseeds and seedlingsand made and collected items to complete the themed garden look. From copies of the children’s own home garden to beach themes and replica meadows.

At theend of summer all gardens will be judged and the best gardener will recieve a prize

Forthcoming Projects...........

The children will be caring for and watching the triop city hatch and grow; they will be able to name their own triop and study its hatching and development over a course of 8-14 weeks.

Postcard Patchwork

Sheerness and Eastchurch are currently working on a postcard patch work picture. All children will receive a blank postcard sized piece of card; they have full creative control on what they choose to do with their postcard. When completed all the postcards will be mounted, framed and hung in a prestigious place within the Sheppey Heathy Living Centre.

There will also be a prize for the most inspiring postcard – the winning artist will receive a £20 Toys R Us gift voucher.
