Bridge Walk Minibus
Bridge Walk Minibus available for hire

A community minibus is available for hire as a result of the bridge walk organised by the Isle of Sheppey Round Table in 2006.
The minibus is a 14-seat Renault Master andis run by Sheppey Wheels. It can be booked by community groups and not-for-profit organisations on the Isle of Sheppey.
Amanda Duddle, Community Transport Coordinator for Sheppey Wheels, was delighted to be handed the keys for the new bus in November 2008 by Tony Potter, Chair of the Isle of Sheppey Round Table. Sheppey Wheels desperately needed a new vehicle because our existing minibus is often booked out. Support from the Round Table means that we can help more community groups with affordable transport. The bus has been very busy in its first six months and is used by a wide range of local community groups.
3,000 people took part in the bridge walk in 2006. Walk sponsorship funded the bulk of the costs of the new minibus . The rest of the money came from Kent County Council and Queenborough Fishery Trust. To spot the vehicle, people should look out for a red minibus with the words Bridgewalk Community Minibus on both sides.
The vehicle has a tail lift and can accommodate up to three wheelchair users. It is therefore particularly suitable for hire for groups with people who need to travel in their wheelchairs.
Community groups can hire the minibus by phoning Sheppey Wheels 01795 585335.
